Interview conducted the week after an Elderhostel service project at the Center of Southwest Studies in which the narrator participated. Her friend and Elderhostel teammate Elizabeth Blake quietly listened in on this interview. Toward the end of the interview, the interviewer asked Mrs. Case to explain briefly her role in developing the Research Triangle in North Carolina starting in about 1950--a significant contribution of her life, even though that was outside the scope of the Center of Southwest Studies. This audiotaped presentation was transcribed by Brookes Boswell, student archival assistant at the Center of Southwest Studies, in March-April, 2000, and was formatted by Center Archivist Todd Ellison on April 7, 2000 and a copy mailed to Mrs. Case on May 4, 2000. Mrs. Case returned the transcript--along with copies of five letters of reminiscence dated 1967 from her dad to herself and her sister-- in June of 2000 with corrections and amplifications [the latter are noted in square brackets] which Ellison input on June 28, 2000, mailing a copy of the revised transcript to the narrator on that date.
