Black and white photograph of the Colorado State Penitentiary dining room; rows of long wooden tables with benches and a walkway separating the tables into two sections; each table is set with bowls, plates, and spoons; a large pan or two on the side nearest the middle and a tall bottle near the window; room is long with arch-topped windows along the side; pillars reach from floor to ceiling where they are attached to a beam; flagstone floor; three windows along the back wall; a wooden cabinet on the left side of aisle; platform, with wooden chair where a guard would sit, on right side of aisle; two hurricane lamp chandiliers are above center aisle.
Museum of Colorado Prisons collection transferred from the storage at the Criminal Justice Training Center at the Abbey School in Canon City, CO to the Local History Center at the Canon City Public Library for preservation and archival storage. Henry M. Booth, instructor at the Criminal Justice Training Center, was the agent authorized to transfer collection.
